Couleurs, ombres et lumière
Je souhaitais expérimenter un peu avec la lumière et ses reflets et voir, notamment, comment se débrouillait mon nouvel objectif Fujinon XF 27mm.
Un petit détour par l’Abbaye de St-Benoît-du-Lac m’a justement permit de faire ça et, en plus, m’a donné l’occasion de photographier à des valeurs ISO plus élevées, compte tenu de la pénombre qui règne en ces lieux. C’est particulièrement le cas dans la petite chapelle qui nous accueille dès l’entrée au site. Malgré un soleil de plomb, la faible fenestration et, évidemment le fait que ce soit des vitraux, fait en sorte que la luminosité ambiante y est faible et aplatie un peu tout. Peut-être en est-il autrement à un autre moment de la journée, quand les rayons du soleil frappent ces vitraux avec un autre angle, mais au moment ou j’y étais il était trop haut dans le ciel.
Il y avait donc beaucoup de travail a faire pour extraire de ces photographies l’essentiel des informations présentes. Le résultat sur les trois photos couleurs demeure intéressant. Qu’en dites-vous ?
Dans l’église abbatiale le défi est différent… D’abord, il y a toujours beaucoup de visiteurs à l’abbaye, ensuite il est de bon ton de se faire discret, c’est un lieu de culte après tout. Ensuite, comme les fidèles étaient nombreux, j’ai du me limiter à ces quelques clichés.
I wanted to experiment a bit with light and reflections and see, how was doing my new Fujinon XF 27mm.
An outing to the Abbey of St-Benoît-du-Lac allowed me to do just that and, in addition, gave me the opportunity to photograph at higher ISO value, given the poor lighting that reigns in these places. This is particularly the case in the small chapel that welcomes us at the entrance to the site. Despite the scorching sun, the lack of windowing and of course the fact that it was stained glass, causes the ambient light to be low and flattened. It could be otherwise at any other time of day, when the sunlight hits these windows with a different perspective, but when I was there it was too high in the sky.
So there was a lot of work to do to extract informations from these photographs files. The result on the three colors pictures remains interesting. What do you think?
In the abbey church the challenge is different… First, there is always a lot of visitors to the abbey, then it is fashionable to be discreet, this is a place of worship after all. Then, as the faithful were many, I had to limit myself to these pictures.
