J'ai pris un break. Une pause d'écriture au cours des deux derniers mois. Vous vous en êtes rendu compte, j'espère.

C'est que je me suis appliqué à autre chose ces derniers temps; reprendre ma santé en main. Pas d'inquiétudes particulières, simplement le sentiment qu'il était temps.

Cesser de fumer, manger plus sainement et moins... surtout, être plus actif physiquement; c'est là l'essentiel. Ça semble peu, mais ça a pris "tout mon petit change" comme le veut l'expression. Je réalise aujourd'hui même que Donovan Bond, mon pendant ontarien de FujiTuesday, est également passé par là, ce qui expliquait le calme prolongé de son blog; Fuji vs Fuji

Je ne suis pas resté inactif en photo néanmoins. Je n'ai simplement rien publié. J'ai notamment fait un contrat pour lequel on m'a contacté du Maryland. Ça fait un petit velours...

J'ai aussi, et surtout vu et lu de bien belles choses.

D'abord, toute la récente série de Patrick La Roque avec le prototype du Fuji X-Pro 2 et la série qu'il vient de commencer sur son court séjour au Japon (je suis jaloux... tant de nouveaux lieux, de nouvelles sensations... pour le plaisir de nos yeux, tout de même). Vous pouvez trouver ça ici et ici... plus que joli, inspirant.

Bert Stephani est également reparti à la chasse et ça a donné ceci sur Kage Collective... superbe.

Il y a également eu Under a vagrant sun le premier ouvrage collectif du Kage Collective... encore!

Et, comme toujours, plusieurs excellents articles sur LENS, le blog photo du New York Times. Il faut être abonné pour voir plus de 5 articles mais bon, allez y faire un tour, vous ne serez pas déçu.

Je reprends donc le collier ici, à mon rythme, avec quelques photos du shooting de produit et des clichés de ce drôle d'hiver.

I took a writing break in the last two months. You did realize it I hope.

I have applied myself to something else these days; getting my health back. I had no specific concern but the feeling that it was time.

So I stopped smoking, started to eat less and more balanced meals, and got back back to a more physically active lifestyle (hitting the gym as a matter of fact). Nothing much as you can see, but it took the best out of me for these last two months. I realized today that my FujiTuesday buddy from Toronto, Donovan Bond, went trough the same thing and got back to his Fuji vs Fuji blog after a 3 months leave.

Luckily I have not been totally inactive in photography. Incidently, I've been called by a Maryland studio for a shooting gig I did. It's great to see that some people see my work, from 1000 km away.

I've also read and saw some beautiful things...

First, the recent series of shots Patrick La Roque took with the X-Pro 2 prototype he basically used daily last fall, and the new series he just started from his short trip to Japan for a Fujifilm event (I'm jealous, such exotic new places and things to see and feel, even if we derive pleasure from it). You'll find all that here and here... simply beautiful and inspiring.
